I try to live from a place of gratitude and when I do, my life is filled with more kindness, love, and hope.
Every morning at the beginning of my meditation I ask myself "What am I grateful for?" and "Who am I grateful for?" Sometimes I am thankful for the smallest of things, the people who have touched my heart. Often it is the lessons that I have learned to help me a better person than I was yesterday. I allow myself to really feel the gratitude, to let it sink into my heart and plant a seed.....

It feels easier to shut down than to move toward optimism and to trust that everything is happening for you, not to you, let alone actually feel grateful for the experience
