It is #GratefulFriday
It's #gratefulFriday⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I try to live from a place of gratitude and when I do, my life is filled with more kindness, love, and hope.
Every morning at the beginning of my meditation I ask myself "What am I grateful for?" and "Who am I grateful for?" Sometimes I am thankful for the smallest of things, the people who have touched my heart. Often it is the lessons that I have learned to help me a better person than I was yesterday. I allow myself to really feel the gratitude, to let it sink into my heart and plant a seed.
Even on days when I don't feel thankful, when there is more darkness than light there is always some small thing or an interaction with someone that I am grateful for. The sound of the birds outside, being able to spend time with my goddaughter, my teachers who guide me......Sometimes I just silently ask myself "What I am grateful for?" over and over and allow the answers to flow into my heart throughout the day. I don't force the answers. I let myself live the question and in doing that, I can begin to see the light.
When you focus on the goodness in life, the goodness gets better. That's because energy flows where attention goes.
What are you grateful for today? Who are you grateful for today? Share your gratitude and love with a friend, it might help shift your mindset.
Much Love,
Lindsay
