When you feel gratitude, even just being thankful for this moment, you not only increase your emotional wellbeing and physical health, you are happier. The day gets a little bit brighter, the world is a little kinder.
By expressing thankfulness to someone and really feeling your gratitude deep in your heart, you not only awaken something within the person who is receiving it, you create this cascade of positive hormones and feelings inside of you. Your shoulders relax, your breath deepens, you are more focused and centered, you feel calmer. You just plain old feel better about yourself.
Today lean into the good. Find the sparkle in the normal. Speak with kindness. See the beauty in the moment. Dream big. Love others unconditionally. Get caught up in the gift of life. Find happiness in what you have.
