“May the flowers remind us why the rain was so necessary.”— Xan Oku

“May the flowers remind us why the rain was so necessary.”

— Xan Oku

You know, change can be such a funny thing.

We say we want it — we crave growth, new beginnings, a fresh start —

but when it starts happening, it can feel messy, uncertain, even uncomfortable.

That’s the part no one really talks about — the middle space between who we were

and who we’re becoming.

But here’s the truth: just like flowers need rain to bloom,

we need those cloudy, uncertain seasons too.

The challenges, the pauses, the in-between moments —

they’re all part of our unfolding.

The rain nourishes the soil beneath us,

even when it feels like it’s slowing everything down.

If you’re in the middle of change right now —

please don’t rush it.

You don’t have to rebuild your whole life overnight.

Start small. Pick one thing, one corner of your world,

and give it your care and attention.

Growth isn’t always loud or dramatic.

Sometimes it’s quiet — like realizing you handled something differently this time.

Or noticing that the things that used to shake you don’t anymore.

That’s growth, too.

Be patient with yourself.

There’s no timeline for transformation.

You’re allowed to take breaks. You’re allowed to take baby steps.

And you’re absolutely allowed to bloom in your own time.

Remember: the rain doesn’t last forever.

The sun always finds its way back,

and when it does — you’ll see how every drop helped you grow.

p.s. You’re doing better than you think.

Much love,

Lindsay
