Allow Yourself to Heal

Allow Yourself to Heal

There are wounds we carry for a lifetime, often without realizing it. We touch them, reopen them, keep them tender as if holding onto the pain is the only way to honor what happened. But sometimes we don’t see that it’s us who are keeping the wound alive.

We think if we let it close, the memory will lose its meaning. We think that healing will erase the truth of our suffering. But healing doesn’t take away the story. It simply softens its hold on us.

Our wounds, too, long for rest. They ache for gentleness. They want to be allowed to close, to breathe, to stop bleeding into every new moment of our lives.

Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting. It means we begin to hold our past with compassion instead of pain. It means we stop breaking ourselves open, and instead allow space for peace to find us.

We deserve that. We deserve to rest. We deserve to heal.

And maybe today, we can take one small step toward that healing.

Much Love,

Lindsay
