Morning Routines: A Means of Extending Love to Yourself and Therefore Others
Every morning, I set a gentle date with myself on my mat. I rise with, or often before, the birds, beginning my day in a sacred ritual of stillness. I start by meditating for 30 minutes, letting the calm and quiet open my heart. I then flow into a yoga practice, connecting deeply with my breath and body, before savoring a large cup of coffee with my homemade almond milk—a simple but cherished ritual.
Starting my day this way, anchored in self-connection, allows me to show up more fully as my higher self throughout the day. It softens me into a space of self-acceptance, love, and compassion, helping me to be patient, present, and understanding for those around me—my family, friends, students, and community.
This practice of self-care and self-love is more than a morning routine; it’s a ripple of intention, radiating kindness, gratitude, and understanding throughout the Universe. Each of us has the power to make a difference through even the smallest acts of care and presence.
How will you honor and care for yourself today? What can you do to reconnect with your heart and invite love into your day?
With much Love, Lindsay
