Grateful Fridays: A Love Note to Yourself
A love note to yourself on how gratitude softens the heart and brings life into focus.
What if gratitude isn’t something we practice, but a way of seeing that changes everything?
It’s #GratefulFriday — a moment to pause, take a breath, and return to gratitude.
“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.”
— Cicero (106–43 BC)
Dear You,
Today is an invitation to return to gratitude.
Cicero reminds us that gratitude is not simply one virtue among many—it is the foundation from which so much else grows. Without it, happiness can feel fleeting, hope can fade, and even beauty can lose its depth. But with gratitude, something shifts. Life becomes more vibrant, more whole, more infused with meaning.
Gratitude is not just a thought—it is a way of being. A way of seeing.
It is the quiet knowing that goodness can still exist all around us, even in the simplest of moments. When we begin to notice these small pockets of goodness—a breath, a moment of stillness, a kind interaction—we gently return to ourselves.
And from that place, something begins to shift.
Not because the world around us has changed, but because we have.
Our energy softens.
Our presence deepens.
Our way of moving through the world becomes more open, more grounded, more aware.
We begin to notice the small wonders woven throughout our days—the quiet moments, the unexpected kindness, the simple gift of being alive.
Wonder opens the heart.
And when the heart is open, gratitude flows naturally.
Today, may you notice the wonders within and around you.
With love,
Lindsay
A Moment for Reflection
Before you move on with your day, pause for a moment.
What is one thing—big or small—that you feel grateful for today?
Place your hand on your heart, take a slow breath, and allow yourself to fully feel that gratitude.
If it feels right, write a small love note to yourself. What does your heart need to hear today?
