Grateful Fridays: Joy in Being Alive
A love note to yourself on finding gratitude in the midst of ordinary and difficult moments.
On the darkest, saddest, most challenging of days… this can feel far away.
And maybe that’s okay.
Gratitude doesn’t have to mean finding something big or beautiful. It doesn’t have to be forced or performed.
Sometimes, it begins more quietly.
By simply noticing what is still here.
The breath moving in and out of your body.
The ground beneath you.
A moment of stillness.
A small flicker of light in the midst of it all.
Not to ignore what is hard, but to remind yourself that it is not the only thing that exists.
And when you can gently bring your attention there, something begins to shift.
You soften.
You slow down.
You begin to open.
Wonder opens the heart.
And when the heart is open, gratitude flows naturally.
Today, allow yourself to pause—however briefly—and notice what is still here for you.
With love,
Lindsay
A Moment for Reflection
Before you move on with your day, pause for a moment.
What is one small thing—no matter how simple—that you can notice right now?
Place your hand on your heart, take a breath, and allow yourself to gently receive it.
If it feels right, write a small love note to yourself. What does your heart need to hear today?
