It’s #GratefulFriday
Discover something every day that you are grateful for, and begin to witness your life transforming.
Our lives are filled with unlimited sources of gratitude, but we often forget to stop and notice. When we choose to focus on what makes us thankful, a shift occurs within us. Finding something to be grateful for each day lifts us to a higher vibration. The lens through which we see our lives and the world becomes clearer, and we begin to recognize that simply being alive is a gift to be savored.
There is always something to be grateful for—it is our choice.
Yesterday, while I was teaching, I found myself pausing to truly take in the essence of my student as he practiced a yoga posture I had just taught him. We were working on something that required him to draw his focus inward. As I witnessed him turn his attention inward with such presence and curiosity, it warmed my heart. In that moment, I felt so blessed to simply observe his keen awareness. Had I stayed in “teacher mode” and not allowed myself to be fully present, I would have missed that beautiful moment.
Gratitude can arise from momentous events, like the birth of your child. But it can just as easily come from the small, ordinary moments waiting for you to open your eyes and heart—like spring flowers in bloom or a warm cup of tea.
When you feel gratitude, allow yourself to fully experience the emotions that come with it. I felt blessed in that moment with my student—blessed to share in his journey and witness his magical being.
Finding thankfulness in everyday things is a choice. We have the power to choose joy over sorrow. And every time we discover something new to be grateful for, our lives expand, and the world becomes a little bit brighter.
Much love,
Lindsay
