It’s #GratefulFriday
Gratitude is more than a feeling — it’s a conscious practice. Whether we’re appreciating something big or small, tangible or intangible, when we focus on what’s good, our perspective begins to shift. We start to notice more light, more hope, and more beauty in the world around us.
But here’s something often overlooked:
Practicing self-gratitude is just as important as expressing gratitude outwardly.
Self-gratitude means recognizing and appreciating yourself — not just for what you do, but for who you are. It’s about honoring your own inner light: your strength, kindness, creativity, resilience, humor, compassion… all the little things that make you uniquely you.
When we give ourselves credit, compassion, and care, we fill our own cup — and from that fullness, love and gratitude overflow into every area of life.
Here are a few ways to start practicing self-gratitude with intention:
Self-Gratitude Meditation
You can do this while sitting quietly… or even while making your morning coffee.
Take a breath.
Inhale love.
Exhale gratitude.
Now bring to mind one thing about yourself you’re grateful for today. Maybe it’s your patience. Your sense of humor. Your drive. Your honesty. Just one quality — and let it fill your heart.
Gratitude Journaling
Create space in your day or week to jot down what you’re most grateful for about yourself.
-How did you show up for you today?
- What strength or mindset got you through a tough moment?
- What silver linings revealed themselves?
Keep these notes somewhere special — and when self-doubt creeps in, read them again. Let them remind you: You are amazing.
Gratitude starts within.
As you nurture self-appreciation, you make room for more love, more joy, and a deeper connection with yourself and the world.
Fill your gratitude cup — and let it overflow.
With love,
xx Lindsay
