It’s #GratefulFriday
Surround yourself with people who illuminate your journey—the ones who truly see you, honor you, and walk alongside you through all of life’s seasons. These are the people who hold your hand when the road feels steep and celebrate your joy as if it were their own. They remind you of your light when it flickers, encouraging you to shine brightly once again.
Through a daily practice of gratitude, we strengthen and deepen our relationships—with ourselves and with those who uplift and inspire us. Gratitude allows us to see the extraordinary in the ordinary and to cherish the beauty of connection.
This week, let us practice gratitude using the Sanskrit mantra: Om Mitraya Namaha—salutations to the sun, the universal friend. The sun shares its light with all without exception, offering life, warmth, and radiance to everything it touches. It invites us to embody its qualities: generosity, inclusivity, and unconditional love.
Here’s how to practice:
Sit comfortably, beginning to follow your breath in and out. Feel your heart beginning to open.
Gently begin to repeat the mantra out loud three times, allowing the sound to resonate in your body and space.
Then whisper it softly three times, noticing the subtle vibrations of the words.
Finally, repeat the mantra silently to yourself, letting it echo in your heart.
Feel its energy expanding, touching every cell of your being, and connecting you to the universal light within and around you.
Stay with this practice for 15–20 minutes, allowing the mantra’s vibration to fill your heart with gratitude, reverence, and grace. Let it remind you of the abundance of light and love available to us all.
Carry this light with you as you move through your day, sharing it freely with others, just as the sun does.
With love and gratitude,
Lindsay
