Inhale Love, Exhale Gratitude: A Farewell to Summer

As we move toward the tail end of summer, I feel the seasonal shift—not just in the air, but in my own internal rhythm.

There’s something sacred about the transition between seasons. Summer, with its warmth and fullness, gives way to a quieter turning. And in this moment, I find myself wanting to pause, breathe, and say thank you.

Thank you for:

  • The golden light of early morning.

  • Tomatoes still warm from the sun.

  • Time with loved ones that filled the soul.

  • Long walks with nowhere to be but present.

  • The gift of slower starts and longer evenings.

This week, I’m sharing a meditation practice that’s helped me stay centered through this change: Tonglen.

Inhale Love.
Exhale Gratitude.

Tonglen is a gentle form of energy exchange—a reminder that with every breath, we can draw in nourishment and send out appreciation.

I invite you to try it with me:

  • Sit somewhere quiet.

  • Inhale deeply, drawing in love, light, peace.

  • Exhale slowly, offering back your gratitude to the world.

Do this for 10–15 minutes. Let yourself soften. Let summer speak through your breath.

As we stand in the threshold between seasons, what are you grateful for?
Drop a note in the comments—I’d love to hear from you.

With love and gratitude,
Lindsay
