Come stand in Mountain Pose, Tadasana, with the weight evenly distributed in both feet and inner edges of your feet parallel. Bring your hands in front of your heart. Lift your arches, inner thighs, and lower belly. If you cannot strongly lift your arches and inner thighs, reposition your feet so that you can feel the arches and inner thighs engage. Using the lift in your arches and inner thighs, lift one knee up and rotate the thigh so that it rests above or below your knee. Keep lifting your arches, innner thighs, and lower belly to create steadiness and opening of your hip and heart. This will give you the feeling that your foot pushes into your inner thigh, your hip opens, and your heart rises up. Breathe slowly, effortlessly, and deeply into your lower belly. Try to stay here for 5- 10 breaths. If you are unsteady, lower your leg a little to find your balance point. Using your core, lower the leg back down into Mountain Pose. Repeat this on the other side.
Try practicing this every day. Let me know how it goes! :)⠀
