It’s #GratefulFriday

The thing about gratitude is that you can access it at any time, in any moment—no matter how chaotic the world outside may be. Gratitude helps you remember who you are at your very core and invites you to live from that place.

No matter what is going on around you, you can move into gratitude in any moment. It helps you find your strength, wisdom, and courage. When you have thankfulness for life, it connects you to your deeper powers and lets you rest in them.

You may find yourself bracing against the constant barrage of worries and stress that come at you every day. In trying to protect yourself, you might close your heart to the magic of the moment. But you can choose to turn inward—connect to your breath, your body, your senses. They will guide you to a place of deep knowing and feeling. They help you relax and come back to center.

The great secret of gratitude is that it does not depend on external circumstances. It is always within you, and you can return to it at any time. Like the breath, gratitude connects you to your basic right to live. It is part of who you are. Gratitude is the seed that can blossom into everything you need to know.

Let’s try this meditation to help connect to our hearts and the strength within:

Begin by following your breath in and out. Notice your body settling and your mind gently calming. Then, begin to repeat the Sanskrit mantra:

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti

This means "Om Peace Peace Peace."

Om is the universal vibration.

You can repeat this silently, or say it out loud three times, then whisper it three times, and finally repeat it silently. Allow the vibration to blend with your breath.

Much love,

Lindsay
