It’s #GratefulFriday
Finding gratitude during challenging times can feel nearly impossible. When we’re walking through darkness, the light at the end of the tunnel can seem like a myth. It often feels easier to shut down than to trust that everything is happening for us—not to us. Feeling grateful for pain or setbacks? That feels like a stretch.
We focus on the what ifs, the should haves, and the could haves. We hold tightly to pain, disappointment, and unmet expectations—often more tightly than we realize. But doing so doesn’t protect us. It traps us in the past or sends us spiraling into the future, causing us to miss the joy and peace of the present moment.
What if we embraced the lessons instead? What if we saw every experience—not for what it could have been—but for what it offered us to grow?
Yes, it's easier said than done. But cultivating a grateful heart is a practice—one that shifts our mindset from lack to abundance, from resistance to flow. Gratitude invites us into the now, where healing begins.
So today, let’s try a little Tonglen Meditation—an ancient Buddhist practice of energy exchange. It helps us take in what heals and release what no longer serves us.
Breathe in love. Release fear.
Breathe in worthiness. Let go of lack.
Breathe in expansion. Release constriction.
Breathe in abundance. Let go of limiting beliefs.
Breathe in infinity. Release limitations.
Let the Universe breathe through you—with each inhale and each exhale.
Let go. Let love in.
