Gratitude helps us find the silver lining in the little things. It allows us to put the past to rest and discover joy in the present moment.
Whatever we focus on becomes more powerful in our lives. If we place our attention on gratitude, love, and connection, we cultivate more of those feelings. But if our focus lingers on negativity, our energy follows.
Happiness doesn’t create gratitude—gratitude leads us to happiness.
So how do we make this shift? How do we find gratitude, even when life feels heavy? The answer is within. Even on the darkest days, a moment of gratitude can create a profound shift. And like anything meaningful, it requires practice. But it doesn’t have to take long—just a moment of presence.
Let’s take a deep, slow breath in... and gently exhale.
Pause. Look within.
Try journaling or meditating on one of these questions. Let the answers flow into your heart, without overthinking. Choose just one for today—too many will keep you in your mind rather than your heart.
What are you grateful for?
Who are you grateful for?
How have you shown up for yourself recently?
What are you proud of?
After reflecting, repeat this mantra silently to yourself:
I am whole.
I am loved.
I am love.
