Grateful Friday
Gratitude brings us into the present. Joy is what we find waiting there.
We often think joy comes first.
That when life feels good, we’ll naturally feel grateful.
But more often, it works the other way around.
Gratitude brings us into the present.
And joy is what we find waiting there.
Not the loud, overwhelming kind of joy.
But something quieter.
A softening in the body.
A deeper breath.
A moment where nothing needs to change.
Gratitude doesn’t have to be big.
It can be as simple as noticing:
The breath moving in and out.
The way your body is holding you.
One small thing that feels steady.
And in that noticing, something shifts.
Not all at once.
But enough.
Enough to feel a little more here.
A little more open.
A little more at ease.
This is where joy lives.
Not in perfect moments —
but in the ones we’re present enough to receive.
Today, let it be simple.
Just one thing.
