When you feel gratitude, even just think gracious thoughts, you not only increase your emotional wellbeing and physical health, you are happier. The day gets a little bit brighter, the world is a little kinder. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

By expressing thankfulness to someone and really feeling your gratitude deep in your heart, you not only awaken something within the person who is receiving it, you create this cascade of postive hormones and feelings inside of you. Your shoulders relax, your breath deepens, you are more focused and centered, you feel calmer. You just plain old feel better about yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Today, and everyday this week, let's write a gratitude text, email, or letter to someone. Thank them for something they did. Thank them for their presence in your life. Thank them for their smile. Thank them for their being alive. Just thank them. And be sure to send it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
