Finding a Path to Inner Peace

Finding the path to inner peace can be challenging. We all have nonstop thoughts throughout the day. We can’t stop them from coming. Our breath is a powerful tool that we can use to help us calm our minds and connect to the present moment. In this meditation we will practice Quiet, Continuous Breathing, which is a pranayama technique, where we witness the flow of our inhales and exhales. When we place our attention on our breath, it helps us connect to the heart and the now. Instead of trying to stop or control your thoughts, try to look on them as tiny snow flakes, let them drift away, and bring your attention back to your breath. A meditation is just a gentle drifting back and forth between the object of your attention, in this meditation it is your breath, and distractions such as your thoughts.

The more aware of your breath you become, the more you will be able to reap the benefits of meditation. Scientific studies have shown that a regular meditation practice reduces cortisol levels, reduces stress and anxiety, eases pain and inflammation, and improves emotional health. We are more open, patient, and compassionate with people in our lives.

This meditation is a tool that you can use anytime, anywhere when you feel stressed or anxious, It will help you re-connect to the heart and the now. Quiet, Continuous Breathing requires total present moment awareness.

Let me know how it goes. )
