Calming Meditation

 

Tonglen is an ancient Buddhist practice of giving or receiving - or energy exchange. Tonglen is a Tibetan word that consists of Tong - which means letting go; and len - which means accepting. Tonglen means to let go and accept. As you breathe in the loving energy of the Universe, you can breathe out all that no longer serves you.

Tonglen is a powerful meditation tool to help us open our hearts to ourselves and to others and to cultivate compassion, generosity, and loving kindness. It can help us become more calm, centered, and unconditioned. And from this loving and calm energy that flows into us from the Universe, we can spread the love to others and the whole world.
