The Power of Gratefulness
When we live in the space of gratefulness, our hearts open to infinite possibilities.
Gratitude doesn’t always come easily. Life can be messy, painful, and unpredictable. But even in the hardest seasons, there is always something—some flicker of light—to be thankful for. Begin there. Notice the small blessings. The softness of your breath. The warmth of the sun. The quiet moments between the noise. Feel those moments in your heart. Let them expand.
It may sound like magic—and in a way, it is. Wherever you place your attention, your energy follows. What you focus on grows. When you begin to see the beauty in the everyday, more beauty will find you.
Every morning, I begin my day with a gratitude practice. I ask myself, “What am I grateful for?” Sometimes I ask it over and over, like a gentle mantra, and let the answers rise naturally. Other times, I reflect on the simple gifts of the day before—my breath, the silver linings, the unexpected lessons, the quiet laughter, the grace in ordinary moments.
Then I ask, “Who am I grateful for?” And I let the names, faces, and memories pour into my heart—my family, my friends, my teachers, my students, a kind stranger, the sound of a child’s laughter. I don’t rush it. I sit, I breathe, I receive.
This practice doesn’t have to take long. Just a few breaths. Just a few moments to let your heart open and soften.
Try it tomorrow morning.
Ask yourself what you're grateful for. Ask who you're grateful for.
Let the answers come, and let them fill you.
Because when we lead with gratitude, life expands.
Joy multiplies. Love flows. And we begin to remember the magic that lives within us.
So… what are you grateful for today?
Tag someone you’re grateful for. Let them know.
With love,
Lindsay
