It’s #GratefulFriday

Have you ever noticed how hard it is to feel anxious and grateful at the same time? That’s because your brain simply can’t hold both states at once. Gratitude has this incredible ability to interrupt anxiety. When we focus on our blessings, we create a shift, a pause—a moment to breathe and soften the grip of worry.

Today, let’s use gratitude as a powerful tool to create calm and invite grace into our lives.

We’ll practice with a Sanskrit mantra that helps me deeply reconnect: Dhanya Vad {dahn-yah vahd} — I feel gratitude.

When I turn toward gratitude, I disrupt the spiral of anxious thoughts and make space for light and ease. By seeking out blessings, even in the smallest moments, I remind myself that grace is always present, waiting to flow into my experience.

Here’s how to practice:

Find a quiet space and settle in. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to ground yourself.

Begin repeating Dhanya Vad out loud three times, letting the sound anchor you.

Whisper it three times, noticing how it feels to bring the mantra inward.

Repeat it silently to yourself, allowing the rhythm to quiet your mind and heart.

If anxiety feels heavy, try chanting it aloud—it can help break through the tension and shift your energy.

Stay here for 15–20 minutes, letting gratitude fill every corner of your being. Each time you repeat the mantra, imagine it replacing anxiety with a sense of calm and trust.

Whenever stress arises, remember this practice. Use gratitude as your interruptor, a way to shift out of fear and back into the present moment.

Breathe into your blessings until there’s no room for anything else.

With love,

Lindsay
